I have to disagree with you there. So far, the only thing I can't do with Pages is use the change tracking facility. I can find what the changes are but not where they are within a given page. As for handling tables, there is a command to turn them into text so that they can be read. You can also work on them by copying them into Numbers, then copying them back into Pages once you're done.
