Wow, this is bad news since I all ready bought the MS office for MAC -- how
is it that it is not accessible?

You say iWorks is, however?

I admit I tried Office when I first got my MAC mini and installed it, but it
just didn't look right at all. I thought I just needed more practice.
Darn.

Thanks,

Brian

Hi,
Microsoft Office for the mac is not accessible at all. not even the new 2011
one that just came out, so I would advice you to stick with iWork and open
Office which is free and is usable.

was available for the mac. The one thing I can tell you is that the mac is
not a respectable part of the marketplace and a lot of blind people who use
computers also like the mac (those that have one anyway).

my windows box back up and install NVDA and see what I can do with it.
there's plenty of cheap software for the windows PC, but like anything else,
it requires funds I don't currently have.

advice. I am a totally blind user. I have decided it will be most useful to
bootcamp my computer so as to have scanning capabilities. I am told there is
no accessible software on the Mac for my scanning needs? I ahve been using
kerzweil. Right now I am planning to go with Freedom Scientific's openbook
and the Freedom Scientific Pearl which is portable and uses a camera rather
than a flat bed scanner. Before I make that commitment I want to be sure
there is nothing out there for the Mac.
