Try taking off those Groucho Marx glasses and nose.
Just kidding.
When unlocking the phone with FaceID, try directing your face at the top center
of the iPhone’s screen, near the earpiece speaker, because this is where the
FaceID sensor is located.
See if attention awareness is disabled. If it is, you might try turning it on.
If it is on, try turning it off.
If this doesn’t help, I would try redoing the FaceID setup.

OK folks,

I’m on and am well on my way to configuring the phone. I’ve set up both a pass
code and my Face ID. When I go to unlock the phone, it’s still asking for
passcode and not seeming to care about the Face ID. What do I need to do here?

Thanks for all your help on this, everyone!

Hey Pete,

Not Brad, but I thought I would weigh in. This sounds a lot like the issue I
had on my iPhone 14 Pro when I upgraded to iOS 18. For me it resolved once I
logged in for the first time. After that, I had no problems entering the
password.

Donna
