OK folks,
I’m on and am well on my way to configuring the phone. I’ve set up both a pass code and my Face ID. When I go to unlock the phone, it’s still asking for passcode and not seeming to care about the Face ID. What do I need to do here? Thanks for all your help on this, everyone! This sounds a lot like the issue I had on my iPhone 14 Pro when I upgraded to iOS 18. For me it resolved once I logged in for the first time. After that, I had no problems entering the password. For me at least, that has bypassed that from the start. If that does not work, then double tap anywhere on the screen and that should take you to the next window.
