Pete and all; Actually Audio Quake is nothing like a turn-by-turn text based
game or mud. It's also not like the current ilk of blind-accessible games in
that it's a completely 3D real-time physics-based online multi-player
first-person-shooter. *how do you like that for a mouthful!* lol!

Okay, so a mud and quake are multi-player online games, but the similarity
really ends there. :)

I believe, with the upcoming Mac release, that this may very well be the
first truly 3D VI / blind accessible game on this platform.

So rather than harkening back to something, I'd suggest that even though this
particular game is quite old, (about 12 years) that for this community, the
paradigm it brings is actually one that is only now barely being touched on by
VI / blind developers.

<smile> -Not trying to be annoying; -Just thought I'd shed a bit of light for
those who may not be familiar with Audio Quake.

Thanks so much for your note and do have an amazing evening!…

Smiles,

Cara :)

This does sound cool! I'd suspect playing an audio version of Quake would
harken back to the days of Text games like Muds and their ilk., but only
better! Can't wait!
