If you like text adventure games, you might check out zoom.  It is an 
interpreter for these games, and works really well with VO.  I know it can work 
with inform games, and may work with other types as well.
I don't have the URL for zoom, but a google search for mac zoom "interactive 
fiction" should find it for you.
