According to Apple's site, it's still live; if the App Store can't find it, Apple provides this direct link (which I haven't tested): https://support.apple.com/downloads/DL1400/en_US/MacOSXUpd10.6.8.dmg Here's the support article I found on the topic, which seems to be quite standard and makes no mention of discontinuation: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1400?locale=en_US > On Aug 27, 2015, at 9:49 AM, Singing Sparrow <[email protected]> wrote: > > When reading the upgrade information for yosemity, the page states you need > 10.6.8 before you can update to yosemity. > So in that case then what would they do? > > On 8/27/2015 7:37 AM, Christopher-Mark Gilland wrote: >> They can use software update to go from 10.6.3, to 10.6.8, and yes, it >> should be free.
