Hi, The Movies and Pictures folders are totally independent of the Music folder. The iTunes folder within the Music folder normally accesses all its data from within the iTunes folder unless you tell it otherwise by unchecking that Copy button. So, if that button is checked within your iTunes Preferences, and I recommend you leave it that way, then when you added the ripped movie to your iTunes Library, a copy of it was added into the Movies folder that resides in the iTunes Media folder. The iTunes Library database keeps a record of the location of the file and any personal modifications that you make to its meta-data. So, by making sure that all media that is a part of your iTunes Library, also resides in your iTunes parent folder, two things can be considered. First, the copy of the ripped media can be deleted from the external to iTunes location. Second, when you copy the iTunes parent folder like I’ve suggested, all your media goes with it in one fail swoop, all the proper updated media tags follow the media and your iTunes Library remains exactly the same as it was in the previous location.
Hope that makes sense. Later...
