Hi, Often, movies that are not considered “Purchased” by iTunes are placed in the Home Movies folder. When using the method I suggested of simply copying over the parent iTunes folder, any and all modifications that you’ve made to media info remain as you’ve entered them. If you copy over individual folders from within the iTunes parent folder and re-import them to the Library, their info may be reset back to the default.
