By the way, I forgot to say that having scons or cmake doesn't imply getting rid of autotools. The three build systems can cohabit peacefully in a project the size of LyX. Indeed, it's not like we add a new file everyday.
No way! We have had configure.m4 and configure.py and that was proven to be a pain (so we eventually get rid of m4). Unless you mean before scons or cmake work correctly. Bo
