No. You only need autotools if you work from svn. If you want to compile

Windows. Plus, I am not sure of that but I think that with Cmake it's even
simpler because you just need "make" to compile lyx.

package? That would be great. Your previous post did not look like this.

Well, I am not sure to what extent I am right or wrong here. But I know that you can generate a tarball for a given distribution that will compile with a simple "make". I am not sure that will not resolve dependency though.
