The problem with 'right-click context menus' is that they are not as simple to implement as adding a few lines to ui/foo.ui. Show me how that works and I'll happily move most mathed editing to such a context menu. [One of the real problems with LyX UI is creating new dialogs. A lot of features is simply not visible to users as nobody went through the trouble to create an appropriate dialog. Unfortunately neither xfroms nor Qt make developing dialogs simple.
