Why have three identical insets?

And insets have no business poking around in the bindings list, that
is the task of lyxfuncs.

We can easily also have lyxfunc like "today" instead of using ert...

"show-variable author"

Why go for the specific implementation when a generic implementation
will be just as easy _and_ be a lot more powerful.
