Ok, I have to correct my last statement. With Qt4.7.0 beta I have drawing problems with very long words. Then the cursor is drawn right shifted. The longer the word is the wider the offset of the misplaced cursor is. This is a problem I don't have with Qt4.6.2. See the screenshot below:
