How does it check Ghostscript? What I use is just the MiKTeX internal gs, its
executable is called mgs.exe, rather than gswin32c.exe. Will LyX check and use
this special version of Ghostscript?

Yes just when installing LyX does it forces installation of lmodern. But what I
wanted is to keep lmodern away from my computer. So I have only two choices: 1)
let LyX install lmodern and manually remove it after LyX installation; 2)
interupt LyX installation process while it is downloading lmodern, and then
after LyX setup exits, modify configure.py (by commenting out the line which
checks lmodern) and then run this script.

Can LyX avoid checking lmodern at setup and just display a message somewhere
during the setup saying that lmodern is recommended to use LyX?
