This feature was designed for document maintainers, so
userfriendliness was not among the design goals.
Well, with buffer information for example, this is becoming much more
than that so user-friendliness should be implemented IMO.
I don't deny that we should reuse insets where we can, only that making them
available as insets as with any other insets should not be a goal per see.
I agree with you, but the current implementation is the easiest one I
can think of.
I had a look now. I think InsetInfo should not inherit InsetText but
rather contain an InsetText that it may or may not use depending on the
info type.
By the way, View -> Source crashes for Shortcuts.lyx
I will have a look.
