Hello Jürgen, I tested out your new pdfpages support and found the following issues:
- In the options tab the default is LaTeX and not PDFLaTeX. Therefore one often inserts the options to the wrong place. It would be better when the default is PDFLaTeX
- Inserting pdfpages options to LaTeX is senseless because it promise a feature that is not available with LaTeX but only with PDFLaTeX. Therefore I suggest to remove "LaTeX" from the options combobox when the External inset is pdfpages.
- The pdfpages settings are lost when exporting the document to LaTeX. You can see this also when looking at View -> Source. They are only exported, when the options are inserted to "LaTeX" but not when to "PDFLaTeX". But as said above, LaTeX cannot handle pdfpages stuff.
(Theses issues are the same for the movie15 support you plan to add to LyX as also only PDFLaTeX can handle movies.)
