But Qt allows you to change the item order at runtime. I remember I have seen this in the Qt docs. So you could e.g. change the ordering to reverse alphabetical, or bette,r to switch the item numbers of the combobox entry.

OK, but then the options the user enters to PDFLaTeX should automatically be copied to LaTeX too. Then the user only has to input it once and then it would also not be important to waht format he inserted it.

Doing this is not possible, because LyX then pops up a dialog asking me to overwrite the PDF-file I have inserted or to cancel the action. But of course I don't want my included PDF beeing touched, it shold stay as it is.
When I agree to overwrite anyway, the you are right and the LaTeX-output is 
correct.

I propose to improve the External file feature before support for movie15 is put in, because the current behaviour is unintuitive an will lead to things the users don't intended. Perhaps Bo can help?
