I had only added the basic alphabetic symbols. Now I added some more.
Feel free to fill the gaps you discover.

I hate any highlighting, flashing, and so on...
A quick way to discover if there's a problem, is activating View->Source
and looking at the warnings in the terminal from where you started LyX.
