Yes, definetively.

Not easy to do. Take the case that the user has inserted a Korean character. I think highlighting
the problematic character should be enough. I mean when I see a highlighted Greek character I would
know that this character is Greek and should be marked as such. This could perhaps be better
documentated.
3. be able to replace all beta with math beta, greek beta etc.
(Advanced find/replace).
A patch is on the way by Tommaso that allows to do this, see bug 3998.
