Without this patch, if you have greek chars in the document and don't
mark them as Greek, you get latex errors. With this patch, you get the
greek chars nicely typesetted. If you mark them as Greek, or enter them
in a document whose main language is Greek, everything works as before.
So, it cures a bug while at the same time not changing the previous
behaviour.
