I often wanted to cross check a document to see if there were non default settings somewhere. This new dialog makes this kind of thing easy.

select all + apply default and then readjust the couple of paragraphs that deviate from the default

How do you know there's only a couple?


really, the use you are talking about doesn't fit with the wysiwym philosophy...

Wysiswym is not about forbidding advanced use IMHO.


It also make easy to apply the same settings at different locations of the document without having to pop up the dialog again.

this is not a routine task and that is why the dialog should stay modal and not become a dock widget

I'll make this configurable then and only power users will be able to use it by modifying an RC file :-)
