The loading of child documents happens automatically (my patch
doesn't change this) when you do one of the following:
- latex export of the master document (and of course all latex based
view/export)
- docbook export of the master document (and of course all latex based
view/export)
- open the citation dialog from the master or one of the child docs.
- open the cross-reference dialog from the master or one of the child
docs.
Thanks, nice summary. Pretty please tell me the above is documented in
the code?
As Abdel said, it's always been like that. Where it's documented? Beats
me. But I do suspect, without having gone through this in detail, that
centralising the loading of child documents will have significant
benefits. We've fought several bugs with that code.
