This is a program where software companies can get a certificate "Vista compliant" or so. In general there is no force to use a certain installer. Why should be invest time to get MS certified? there were similar programs in the past when Win XP was released but the resonance in this was quite low. Even the driver certificate was no success: On my current system I only have one MS certified Window hardware driver. The rest is uncertified but works.

I read today a bit in newsgroups and installing programs works on Vista as expected. An the NSIS people will surely make some changes if there will be problems.
