Could you explain more precisely what you mean (an example file, or a
sequence of actions would be nice).

These are not shown because they do not exist either in mormal latin1
fonts or in adobe symbol fonts. This will hopefully change in 1.2

This is something I've been wanting to do, but which happen to be just
a little bit too complicated for now. We have to work on the new
development version, after all... So the answer is: later.

It is difficult to know whether database.bib.bib exists, since this
means that we should know where latex searches for this file. With
modern TeXs we could use kpsewhich for that, though.

Bas> I would like to be able to change the name of a label.

Yes, this is often requested. The standard answer is: it is almost as
simple to delete and re-enter it. I know it is wrong, but we'll have
to bear with it in 1.0.x.

First of all: why do you want to use \mathcal at all? Just type M-c e
A and you have a nice calligraphic A (note that M-c e is emphasize,
and that the ! icon does the same).

Second point: mathed is only supposed to read LaTeX syntax. "\mathcal
A" is TeX syntax. reLyX takes great pains to add the required {}, so
that mathed does not have to deal with it.

Third: what you tried would have worked if mathed did not know what
\mathcal is. You use a macro mathed knows about, but not in the way it
is supposed to be used.

I'll have to check this. You mean that \cite{a b} does not work?

This is on the to-do list, and would mean first to extend the option
menu to cover all of lyxrc. It is not very difficult, but nobody did
it yet.
