Here are some feature requests and a small bug report.
A use LyX version 1.02 May 4, 1999 and
tcsh 6.05.00 (Cornell) 94/19/06 (sparc-sun-solaris)
I will begin with the bug:
Lyx gives a blank screen when pressing crtl-enter when the cursor is
directly after a display:
LYX_ERROR: row.height: 0
Now some feature requests.
Some Tex commands or not displayed as symbols. For instance \Vert and
\dots and \triangle and \to (is this the same as rightarrow?).
When I type "lyx filename" I would like to start lyx with the file
filename.lyx, but for this I have to type "lyx filenname.lyx".
A similar problem occurs when entering database.bib as the bibtex
database.
It would be nice the strip the .bib if database.bib.bib does not exist.
I would like to be able to change the name of a label.
When a save a document containing \mathcal A in mathmode,
exit lyx and reload it. Lyx gives an error message:
Line ~28: Math parse error: Expected {. Maybe you forgot to enclose an
argument in {}
LyX: Unknown token `\)'. Inserting as text. [around line 29 of file
~/newfile.lyx]
I know I should have used \mathcal{A}, but it would be nice if Lyx would
complain before I restart it.
Spaces in citations are not handled well by Latex.
Maybe it is better not to allow spaces in Lyx too.
I would like to have a Save Options possibility to the Options menu.
