Dear Alejandro,
please give me a note on which size of the pixmap / colored / black and white
/ you would prefer to get, I'll do my best! Do you have a list of missing
symbols you already thought to create if you would only find the time? Send it
to me. Any inputs appreciated.
This one goes to the whole LyXician's community:
Besides some additional items I do not fully understand:
1. My system is set up for 1280x1024 dots on the screen. If I start lyx with
the command lyx -height 900 -width 900 it comes up with 850x850. Should that
happen? Can anyone explain to me why? Is there any default scaling that takes
place?
2. Thanks to J.M, I found that I could do define a file
/usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/LyX. However, I thought that the (AFAIK) conventions
for the files in this directory would say Lyx rather than LyX. In any way I
would add one sentence to the manual to make that one clear:
\fBLyX\fR supports the following command-line switches: (most of
these can also be specified as X resources, for instance in .Xdefaults or in
/usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/LyX (if that's where your X-ressource files are
located)):
what about the capitals / naming convention? Maybe I am too pedantic, but
anyway :-). It took me some time, so maybe others can avoid this.
3. Is there any place where I could define a default screen font size of 180
rather than 150 and the system would come up with it each and every time? I
didn't really understand the explanations I found referring to this. Maybe
something like LyX.screenfontsize: XXX would be nice to have.
Best regards, looking forward to hear from Alejandro soon,
Dieter

if you really want to see the pictures above - use some font
with constant spacing like courier! :-)
