That only works for senders who's domains don't have DMARC records. If someone 
sends mail from yahoo.com to the list then Gmail is expected to bounce the 
message as yahoo.com has a DMARC record requesting this.

Also that requires that every Gmail user implement such a change.  When we had 
Gmail users complaining about list mail going to spam it didn't seem that they 
were capable of fixing that.

Yes.  I'd appreciate it if people would stop acting like I'm doing something I 
want to do here.  I just want mail to go through reliably and I'm doing what 
is necessary to achieve that goal.
