Thanks Jackie,
The scheduled for OSGeo-Live is linked from here:
http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Live_GIS_Disc#Schedule
For the Project Overview, we'd hope to a first draft by mid to late
January, with final in place by 7 March 2016.
Would you mind also if you could fill out an official application to
have FDO included on OSGeo-Live, by answering questions listed at:
http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Live_GIS_Disc_Apply
Answers to these questions help us confirm that the project is a good
fit, and we have enough room, contact points etc.
Looking forward to working with you,
Warm regards, Cameron

Hi Cameron,
I can provide an overview of the FDO project. What is the deadline for
such information?

Hi Jackie,
Would you be the right person to talk to about FDO?
As FDO is an OSGeo incubated project, it is a prime candidate for
including on OSGeo-Live.
For OSGeo other libraries, we often just provide "Project
Overview" documentation.
Eg: http://live.osgeo.org/en/overview/geotools_overview.html
What are your thoughts on producing such documentation?

We would like to hear from anyone wishing to add new projects

or anyone who has ideas on how we should shape the upcoming
release.
