Under Linux, AbiWord is part of the (unofficial) Gnome suite, together
with Gnumeric the spreadsheet. No equivalent for PowerPoint. For
MS-Access substitute, you'll have to look for a visual GUI which works
with MySQL or PostgresSQL.

I have used it under MS-Windows 2000, while it (AbiWord) was still being
tested. Meanwhile they fixed the BiDi bugs which I reported on this
platform. Nowadays I use it only under Linux.

IIRC, they added OO import/export filter to AbiWord.

AbiWord was designed right from the start to be multi-platform.

Fair enough. Like a boxing match without gloves, but with strict
observance of all other laws. :-)
