Actually, no. XHTML and HTML 4.01 are exclusive options. I.e. the W3 validator 
will through warnings for all <tagname .... /> tag names in HTML 4.01, while 
XHTML requires them. The current docs are HTML 4.01 and they validate fine 
with validator.w3.org
