A2D in a big way. And, thankfully to I'm sure everyone, my last contribution to this thread. But, Jeremy, you are dead wrong. More wrong than perhaps I feel anyone has *ever* been on the LFS lists since I've been a member. You simply cannot make a proposal, especially one of the magnitude you are proposing, and simply provide a URL to the home web site of the software being proposed as the basis of your research. I expected more of you than this. If you thought the community should change, it was up to *YOU* to do the research that convinces the community it is the right thing to do. To simply provide a URL to a web site and expect everyone to do the research you should have done, even before offering the suggestion, just blows my mind. Jeremy, I suppose you and I will never agree on this point, so let's just drop it. It was your job to do some research and relay to the community your findings. You failed in this. At least this is my opinion. "Go to the links provided" is a cop-out. The software you recommend may be better than what we have. But because I don't have the time to research it, I'll never know. It is a shame that the guy that proposed the idea wouldn't do that research and pass it along to the community. -- Randy rmlscsi: [GNU ld version 2.15.94.0.2 20041220] [gcc (GCC) 3.4.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.4] [Linux 2.6.10 i686] 23:43:01 up 115 days, 9:07, 3 users, load average: 0.00, 0.04, 0.26 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
