I trust this is for testing purposes...
This isn't to do with Trac, but Trac benefits by it. We are running
Subversion 1.1, IIRC. And 1.3.0 has been released and we feel it's a
good time to upgrade. If you have a concern with that, please voice it.
No, it was just the first I'd heard of it. But I just realized that I
don't have website in gmane so that'd probably explain it.
I've been sitting back and watching thus far. The above timeline just
seems a little too eager to me. Yes, I like the sound of Trac so far,
but I would personally like to see the working results of a complete
test run.
There already has been a test run.
I also hadn't realized that, so my apologies for being a little too
eager in my first review of 'the plan'. :-) I took a quick look, and I
really like Trac as far as the initial presentation! It looks very
clean and clear. However, right off the bat I can identify a few (very)
_minor_ annoyances, that may well be configurable (a brief glance at the
docu a suggests that pretty much everything is configurable).
The very first (and most annoying) thing I've noticed (that will affect
me) is that the default when clicking on a file in the source browser is
the current revision instead of revision history. That will just drive
me batty!
Similar problem for ticket tracking, there is no freeform search text
entry box for the ticket system on the opening page (doesn't really
affect me, but end users would appreciate it).
Also, there is no key for the color codes used in the lists. This seems
a very silly oversight and should definately be fixed.
The login button does not provide a link to create a new (unprivelaged)
account...may not be possible.
Ticket append is not turned on right now for anon users, so I couldn't
check out that part of the interface, but the defaults for ticket entry
must be changed....see The 'TEST TICKET' in BLFS tickets to see the
curent defaults.
HTH.
