The issue seems to be our performances at home. Generally speaking, this season our away performances have been good, and most would say that our football has come on loads from last season (pass and move, on the floor etc).
The problem therefore would seem to be the players bottling it to some extent at home due to the added pressure from the crowd, plus also the age old problem of teams coming to ER to defend and hit on the break. Having said that, if Blackwell had to go I wouldn't mind Curbishley as our new manager, and it may be the window of opportunity for getting him that forces Bates' hand rather than performances or results this early in the season. Lets face it, had Cresswell not been crocked and Horsfield not been banned I think our goals for column would look a lot healthier. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Greg Adams Sent: 25 August 2006 13:37 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [email protected] Subject: Re: [LU] bits 'n' bobs I have yet to see anyone who is happy with what they see at Elland Road. IMHO, Blackwell does not have the balls, nevermind the ability, to manage a team in a club like Leeds. He would be more at home managing a 'smaller' club, where the expectations are not so high or a club with a lower profile. So I think we are stuck with him for a while yet. I only hope that we don't lose someone like Curbishly by waiting too long. Greg Azanian Whites PS Does anyone else think that sunderlands players must be shitting themselves with the news that of Roy Keane is going to be their manager? _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
