Curbishley. Always rated him, he's keen to get back into management in
October. 1 month earlier for the right job will be ok I'm sure.

Well yes.. Cant disagree that Curbishly would be a great appointment. For Leeds and Curbishly. As a Blackwell outer of long standing, there's nothing that would please me more than to see him get the heave and Curbishly come in, but I seriously doubt that Bates will make the change so soon. It would mean an admission that he was wrong to keep Blackwell on after the debacle of the playoff final. And lets be honest, Blackwell is not doing anything different to what he has done in the past season. It is not as if he has suddenly become a worse manager. It may be that our expectations have risen due to the supposedly better players who have come in in the off season. My big beef with him, is that he seems incapable of making use of what he has. Most will agree that we have a squad capable of beating any team in this division, that we have players who are capable of playing good football, yet I have yet to see anyone who is happy with what they see at Elland Road. IMHO, Blackwell does not have the balls, nevermind the ability, to manage a team in a club like Leeds. He would be more at home managing a 'smaller' club, where the expectations are not so high or a club with a lower profile.

So I think we are stuck with him for a while yet. I only hope that we don't lose someone like Curbishly by waiting too long.

PS Does anyone else think that sunderlands players must be shitting themselves with the news that of Roy Keane is going to be their manager?
