I think both are available. Vialli was shit when he managed Watford in
this division. Ranieri? I liked him when he was a Chelsea, and he was at
the QPR game (apparently because he's involved with the consortium that owns
QPR, not coz Bates invited him). Don't think we'd get him, and I don't know
how he'd manage with our standard of player.
WACCOE rumour (so it must be true) somewhere in here

replacement is lined up. A pal of Bates who was in the same mould, ie a
"bully" when managing his former club.
I think if (more likely when) Bates sacks Blackwell, Wise will be his
replacement. I'd hate that, and I can't think of any Leeds fan that would
like it. That would be another season or two wasted.
Getting a decent replacement will be difficult. Look at how Sunderland have
struggled to replace McCarthy. I wonder how Carver would cope as a manager?
The last coach of Blackwell's that went into management did OK after all. :)
