And that was ALL down to Blackwell was it? I think one of the players went on record to say that they (the team) peaked a game early (ie vs Preston). In other words the player admitted that they (the team) played below par vs Watford.
But of course that's Blackwell's fault. Rich, you seem to continually mistake any refuting of quite frankly shite "arguments" or rantings against Blackwell as 'pro Blackwell'. I am sure there are plenty of generally anti Blackwells or at least neutrals on the list who also find the continual, consistent laying of blame at Blackwells door for every single bit of crap that happens to Leeds Utd. And even some of the positive stuff - such as improving the squad (the Livermore situation). You yourself are a fine one to talk about the latter. You always make snap judgements on players, they are either crap and should be shipped out, fantastic but played out of position or probably fantastic but not given a chance. Blackwell actly swiftly and decisively to swap a decent squad player with 2 younger and better replacements, and yet he still gets flak. For the record, I don't think I have seen a solitary person say they think KB is great and should be manager for the whole season regardless of what happens. Not one. I think all us 'pro Blackwell' lot have simply acknowledged the fact that he has done a decent job up until now, fully up to expectations, given the circumstances of the club. We have also said that he deserves the chance to improve again this season. We have said that if it proves beyond him he will be rightly sacked at xmas, or even before. We aren't 'pro blackwell' as such, we are just pragmatic and pro giving the bloke a decent chance. On the other hand you anti Blackwell lot just use him as your punch bag for all your frustrations and ranting. Some times in life shit just happens, there is not always someone to blame for it. Blackwell didn't cause the financial shit at the club, he didn't get us relegated. In my opinion he saved us from getting relegated to the 2nd division, something even us optimists thought might happen that first season. For that some of us will be eternally grateful to KB.
