As a closet "Blackwell outer from when Eddie Gray was still manager, my main
worry about him was that he's just not a winner. That Preston 2nd leg really
did prove me wrong - job done, out-clog the cloggers and take everything the
ref dishes out on the chin.
So, just when the bloke had answered all the questions..... What the fcuk
happenned? Boothroyd walked the walk and did exactly what he had to do to
win, our bloke just finished with limp excuses.
Let him have his chance next year (he's not George Graham or Very Terribles
after all), but the next time we have a choice between a Yorkshireman and a
Cockney at the club we'll know which one to get rid of.....
