This is becoming so irritatingly polarised.
Why can't those who are popping themselves (effectively) in the Blackwell
camp, just recognise that the team and tactical selection were awful on
Sunday.
(snip)
I am pro-Blackwell in the sense that I think he's done a good job under
difficult circumstances but I totally agree with that statement. I also
think that (God, this is so diffcult to type) that Rich Walker called it
just right in his pre-match assessment.
Why we needed a five man mid-field against a side that don't really bother
much with a mid-field was a mystery to me.
His tactics on Sunday were as miserably wrong as his tactics at Preston were
so gloriously right.
It wasn't helped by us only starting to play when we were two down.
It was also a mistake to play Butler and have Killgallon at left back. He
should have picked Harding and said come on lad, it's shit or bust, show us
if you've got what it takes for the Premiership.
We should have taken the bull by the horns and gone after them from the
start, they were quite shaky at the back early on.
It's all water under the bridge now though and I still think, after all he
has achieved in the last two years, Blackie deserves to keep his job.
If we're up in the top three at Christmas and playing well all to the good.
If we're not then Bates won't piss about, Blackwell will be gone anyway.
