Not necessarily so, winning the league didn't make Wilko a good manager nor
did reaching the champions league semi make O'Leary a good manager. However
being a good manager and being a successful manager aren't necessarily the
same thing.

Stats mean bugga all in all leagues - by your reckoning Souness must be a
good manager. I know you despise Blackwell and his tactics and guess what so
do I. I have never been so disenchanted with a Leeds season as I have been
this one BUT I can't name one manager who will come here and do a more
successful job - can you?

You don't get points for being entertaining in this or any other league. It
isn't a pre-requisite of success that a team must play exciting flowing
football. You get points for scoring as many or more than you concede and
that is it - you only have to score 1 goal more than your opposition to get
3 points and if you don't score and they don't either you still get a point.
If you play lovely open expansive pass and move football and concede 1 more
goal than what you score you get zilch - ask Glenda.

Be prepared for another frustrating and disappointing season Rich cos I
can't see Blackwell changing his 'successful' formula any time soon.

Cheers
Paul
