Rog,

Do you think Dorigo was better than Cooper ?

Sorry Rich no. Dorigo was pretty good, but I would have Cherry above him in
the pecking order at left back. Copper was never the greatest defender in
the world, but was sensational going forward and scored his fair share of
goals for a full back as well - the winner in the 68 League Cup Final for
Leeds first ever major trophy being quite an important one! Having said
that I'd have to agree with anyone who said he was never quite the same
after the broken leg

I couldn't leave Strachan out - he was pure
inspiration , the best player I've ever seen at Leeds.

As I've said the Strachan/Lorimer debate is a tough call for me. The goals
of Lorimer or the inspirational/motivational powers of Strach, although
little motivation was needed if King Billy and to a lesser extent Big Jack
were on the field!!

I agree about Madeley - I used to will him forward. I
reckon he could have scored loads of goals if he'd
been a bit more selfish. He could just walk round the
opposition with ease.

Agreed - should have score loads more goals.

I agree about Woodgate. When we had 4 great centre
halves at the club I rated them as follows
1) Woody
2) Lucas
3) Matteo
4) Rio

and Rio wasn't bad.

I'd maybe reverse 3 and 4, but can't argue other than that. I've always
thought Rio is good with the ball and very poor without it; a ball watcher
who loses his man far too often for comfort - he's certainly not a world
class defender and reader of the game - Woodgate is!

Cheers - Rog
