Hi William,

I hear ya there :-)

I had this huge answer drafted, but then I realized that it would never print.

Panasonic isn't the best or worst system in the marketplace and I've seen a
lot of systems come and go.
I've seen other manufacturers come and go also, and been denied access to
systems because of quotas, or training, or protection.

You made a decision to not buy Panasonic for whatever reason. Someone else
decided to buy or not buy a system for a whole different set of reasons.
If I were bidding your system today with a TDA, you might find that it is
better than your DK/CTX system and less expensive, or it might still be
missing that one feature that made you switch.

I can give you access to the system and I can control what you can change.
I'll also tell you in advance that programming from the TAW and TDA series
systems is totally different and not intuitive. Unless you want to
configure your own ARS tables or PRI trunks, it's probably a good thing
that you don't have full access to the programming.

I install and service about 90% of the stuff I sell...well mostly (it's a
Union thing). I like the fact that I don't compete against myself and have
to justify the difference in prices and rates. Yet, each year, the
percentage of labor (100% profit) to materials rises. Today it's near 40%,
maybe in 5 years it will be 60-80%. If I had more capital and more time 10
years ago, maybe I would be the one pushing iron and selling all my stuff
at a 1.2 mark.

Anyway, it's nice to know you still hang around the ol' kxthelp forum. Is
there any other user forum group that collects dealers, end users and
manufacturers (hi again, Kelly) all at the same time?

Carl Navarro

P.S. Link me to the CTX user's group :-)
