Unnamed Administration sources reported that Aimee B. Villarosa said: > > We don't have callers ID. Is there anyone know how to setup minicom to > access our voicemail? You want to see if there's unusual activity into the VM port. 2. You want to see what activity is going on in the VM system. You can open up two serial ports on the same machine and capture both activities into two files. Go to Rat Shack or somewhere and get a DB9-DB9 female to female serial cord. Plug it into the computer and the VM and set your terminal for 9600,n,8,1. I use Procomm for DOS 2.4.3, but any terminal program will do. Next, get a DB9 to DB25 cable and plug it into the 25 pin port on the KSU. This one may require a null modem adapter, RS sells them for less than 6 bucks. Set that for 9600,n,8,1 also and open up your comm program. Look at one serial port then another and you should start seeing data flowing. The VM requires an ENTER and it will respond with a prompt and a menu. The phone system will just start dumping SMDR. If you need a care package and can accept two files totalling 360K I can send you TELSORT, a call capturing program, and PROCOMM, a data terminal program. Both of these run under DOS or DOS under WINDOWS (not sure about XP). HTH Carl Navarro Ya know, I don't even have WINTERM under WIN 2k :-) _________________________________________________________________ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt
