Larry , I have never " tapped them in ". I put a nut on a longer
screw, followed by a steel washer. Then screw the bolt in to the
Keensert, thread it into the newly threaded hole, then while holding
the bolt from turning, run the nut and washer down to the tanks'
aluminum plate. The Keensert will screw into your new threaded hole,
pretty much by hand. No special taps, etc are needed, as in a
helicoil.
