Larry , Check out a Keensert. Once inserted , they have two small locking pins. They make them in different sizes. I mostly use one for a #10 screw with 32 tpi. The stripped hole is drilled and tapped for 1/4 inch, screw Keensert in, and set the lock pins. They sell a tool for pushing the pins in, but I just use a nut and washer to push them in, while holding a long screw from turning. All will be flush with your plate. John Shaffer N455JS Fremont Ohio
