Maybe I'm not too bright, but isn't Whitman (sp) field (OSH) open all year round? If EAA is open to the idea, why not see if they will "host" a KR gathering at some other time than the circus (AirVenture). There is plenty of real estate/camping and amenities, 'town' is not far away and the museum is awesome. JMHO.
