I found some amazingly close grained near zero run out yellow cedar
boards that were bought back by a lumberyard.
They are not quite long enough but I think they could be scarfed for
longerons.
I know there has been some debate about that but from what I can see,
even some of the early aircraft manufacturers did this.
I would do it in the area where there are doublers or would add doublers
at the scarf areas.
I need to speak with Gavin Magillis as I see he used this wood for his
project.
