I could also put strings on it and play a song but I don't think it would parked that long. ( unintentional rhyme ) Seriously, I have done some reading and Yellow cedar is actually stronger then sitka with extremely minor weight difference, maybe 1-2 lbs over the whole project. Hell, I can lose that with a good morning visit to the bathroom ! I am not sure what the reluctance is to look at options ( or if there is one ) but even Wicks has offered up hemlock because they know spruce is very expensive. Also, scarfing is an acceptable method to make longer pieces and I will going to the aviation museum we have here to find some mentoring on that process. I think I can get get enough yellow cedar wood for two KRs for around $450.00 Canadian, that's about $2.00 U.S. ...LOL I am going to take some pictures of the pieces I am speaking about and will put them up on Dropbox. I would be interested in any other comic relief or serious input folks have as I really do value all opinions. Happy Saturday everyone.
So, a guy walks into a bar........ Bob The up side is you could use the KR to store wool sweaters and blankets when you're not flying. :-) Larry Flesner _______________________________________________ Search the KRnet Archives at https://www.mail-archive.com/krnet@list.krnet.org/.
