Dan, The first order of business is to eliminate the "slop" in the control system. The stick should not move without causing movement of the control surface. Next, get an independent party to run the weight and balance. If you made an error you may continue to make the same mistake over and over again. Make sure your arm is resting on something and not just grasping the control stick. The KR gives very little feedback on the stick and until you get the feel of it you are likely to over control and get P.I.O. I find it difficult to hold my KR just above the runway on takeoff as it accelerates. As it is quickly accelerating the pitch angle is in need of constant change and to do it smoothly is a bit tricky. You indicated you just got your bi-annual. That suggests you may not have a lot of recent flight time and might not be as comfortable in the cockpit as you could be. The KR is not difficult to fly but it is not one you want to make a first flight in without several hours of recent flight time. You might even consider someone else with lots of stick and tail wheel time trying a test hop. Tighten up the control system, confirm the CG, and try it again. Larry Flesner
