I definitely think you have an AFT CG problem, although that number
indicates you are right in the center.  First, I would carefully check those
numbers.  I flew a KR with an aft condition and it acted just like you
describe.



At one time I considered the 2200, but it would have been too light, so if I
were to use a Jabiru, it would have had to be the 3300 and then I would have
to move the engine forward slightly.  



Here is some data from my W&B




Datum is Firewall = 0 inches



Leading Edge of wing = 12.3125 inches



Forward C.G. = 20.125 inches

        Note: Specifications state 8-16" aft of the inboard wing leading
edge



Rear C.G. 26.125 inches

        For N64KR, the CG range is 8" to 14" aft of the inboard wing leading
edge.
